All professional fees and disbursements for YCI Canada services are processed according to the payment terms outlined in your Service Agreement (Section 5).

Currency and Invoicing

All invoices are issued in Canadian Dollars (CAD) only. If you're paying from another currency, the exchange rate from xe.com will be applied at the time of payment conversion (as per Section 5.1 of your Service Agreement).

We offer different payment options depending on whether you or your spouse are physically located in Canada. This ensures you have access to at least one fee-free payment method regardless of your location.

If You or Your Spouse Are Physically in Canada

Recommended Method: Interac e-Transfer (No Fees)

Why the 3% fee for cards when you're in Canada? Interac e-transfer is available to all Canadian residents at no cost, making it the fair fee-free option. Card processing fees are passed to clients who choose convenience over the free option.


If You Are Outside Canada (No Spouse in Canada)

Recommended Method: Credit or Debit Card (No Fees to You)

  • Available through secure payment link sent via email

  • YCI covers the 3% processing fee - no additional cost to you

  • Accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, international cards

  • Instant payment confirmation

Bank Transfer/Wire Transfer

  • Available for clients in countries with direct banking options

  • Additional $50 fee applies to cover international wire transfer costs

Why no card fees outside Canada? We recognize international payment options are limited, so we absorb the processing costs to ensure fair access to our services.

How to Make a Payment

Step 1: Receive Your Invoice

You'll receive an invoice via email with:

  • Invoice number

  • Amount due in CAD

  • Due date

  • Payment instructions

Step 2: Choose Your Payment Method

Select the appropriate method based on your location (see above).

Step 3: Submit Payment

For Interac e-Transfer:

  1. Log into your online banking

  2. Send e-transfer to pay@yci.co

  3. Use your invoice number as the message/reference

  4. Set security question (if required): "What is your invoice number?" Answer: [Your invoice #]

For Credit/Debit Card:

  1. Wait for secure payment link via email

  2. Click link and enter card details

  3. Confirm payment amount matches your invoice

For Other Methods:

  1. Email info@yci.co to request specific payment instructions

  2. We'll provide account details and reference information

  3. Include your invoice number in all payment references

Step 4: Payment Confirmation

  • Interac e-transfers: Confirmation generally within one business day

  • Credit cards: Instant confirmation

  • Other methods: Confirmation within 1-3 business days after funds received

You'll receive an email confirmation and updated invoice marked "PAID" once payment is processed.


Payment Terms and Late Fees

Payment Due Dates: As outlined in your Service Agreement (Section 4):

  • Initial payment: Due upon signing the Service Agreement

  • Final payment: Due before application submission

Late Payment Fees (Section 5.7): Payments not received by the due date may be subject to a $50 late fee or 3% of the outstanding balance (whichever is higher), accrued monthly.


Security and Privacy

All payment processing is conducted through secure, encrypted systems. We never store your credit card information. Payment confirmations and receipts are sent via email only.

Your payment information is confidential and handled according to our privacy policy and Section 8 (Confidentiality) of your Service Agreement.

Can I pay in installments?

Payment schedules are outlined in Section 4 of your Service Agreement. Custom payment arrangements must be agreed to in writing before services begin.

What if I need to pay from a different country than I'm applying from?

Choose the payment method that works best for your current location. Contact us at info@yci.co if you need specific guidance for your situation.

Can someone else pay on my behalf (family member, employer)?

Yes. Ensure the payment includes your invoice number and name as reference. Email us at info@yci.co to notify us of third-party payments.

Do you offer refunds?

Refund policy is outlined in Section 6 of your Service Agreement. Generally, professional fees are non-refundable after services are rendered, but unearned fees are refunded if tasks are not completed.

I sent payment but haven't received confirmation. What should I do?

Email info@yci.co with your payment details (date, amount, method, reference number). We'll verify and confirm receipt within 1 business day.
